Mark & Kambour Pathology, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice, is privileged to include Lizette V. Duckworth, M.D., as a member of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Duckworth has an extensive academic and medical professional background.

Dr. Duckworth received her Bachelor of Science degree, graduating with distinction, summa cum laude, from the University of Miami in Florida. Subsequently, she went on to complete her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, graduating with distinction, cum laude. She then began her postgraduate training with a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, where she served as chief resident, and later finished with a gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary fellowship.

Upon completion of her post-graduate training, Dr. Duckworth began working as a lecturer and assistant professor of pathology at the University of Florida, teaching residents and medical students on a wide variety of pathology topics, such as cardiovascular pathology and gastrointestinal pathology, prior to moving into her position as a pathologist with Mark & Kambour Pathology.

Over the years, Dr. Duckworth has developed extensive academic experience. She has received a myriad of awards and honors in recognition of her achievements, including the Dr. Sigurd J. Normann Excellence in Pathology Award. She holds medical research publications and articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and textbooks, as well as delivering award winning oral and poster presentations for numerous professional medical societies and universities.

Dr. Duckworth is an active member of several professional medical organizations, including the College of American Pathologists, United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology and American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

Dr. Duckworth holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
